Thanks, is code always fixed? There is a 4 digit code written on the radio which is not very visible anymore but does certainly not match. Just asking since I have only 2 tries left before it will completely lock.

      Appreciate your help.

8482 is the original code for the radio serial number GM0205Y9032991...and will always be 8482 unless recoded by a decoding service.

        Have you tried it ?

If it does not work then your radio may haves been recoded in the past and given a different number

Note: to reset a radio that has had wrong codes, just switch it on and leave it on....without interruption... until the display resets.

This could take an hour or longer

8482 is correct, great, very happy with it! Not sure why there is another 4 digit code written on the radio

If the radio has been purchased off Ebay or from another source then a wrong code number is often found written on the casing so the seller can say "I think that this is the code" and sell the radio "with code". ( for more money !)

Dishonest of course but it happens all the time, especially on Ebay.
