I've checked again , 6949 is correct for your given serial no. !
1. please check again the serial no.
2. you have entered the code correctly ?

I'm entering the numbers by pressing 1, 2, 3 and 4 multiple times and then pressing 6 to enter....this is the correct enter button?

I'm pretty sure the numbers are being entered correctly, even if the screen is a bit lost in the digit department. The most annoying thing is that after the first time, where I got 3 attempts....I now have to wait about 60mins for one attempt.

6949 is the correct code ...and you are using the correct code entry instructions.

if these do not work then your radio may have been recoded.

It will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Dervice to sort out.

Thanks for the code, worked a treat. I've just got a quick question - is it right that I have to put the code in everytime the engine has been switched off, because thats what I have to do. Its not a problem, just wondered wether there is a problem or does this happen to everyone.

Just bought a Ebay stereo it has a hand written sticker 0006 on the top but this wont work neither will 9000!
the last three digits are 7896 on the serial code its the 306 Blaupunkt radio

Post 14 chars main serial number stamped on sticker or metal casing, something like BP1234*1234567 then we can calculate right code if possible...
