Blaupunkt 420 code needed.....Help

Hi I have a blaupunkt 420 from a holden barina
serial number = bp8392x1732642
other number 92057948
written in biro on label 9642 0233

I have no idea what the code is.

there's no screen on this model and the numbers go from 1-6 on the preset radio channels, How do I enter the code when I have found it? do I have to disconnect the battery feed after every attempt?
