Renault master radio code

My boss had some work done on the van a while back and the battery got disconnected and now the radio needs a code, he's too tight to ring renault and pay and he's too lazy to find the code, please please help me i can't take the painful silence any longer!!

I managed to get it out and took down a whole load of numbers,

Renault 1996 2.2d hatchback display unlock code

I have the original radio/
cassette blaupunkt RDS
with the renault name in white on the display.
On switching on the radio I get four dashs on
the display the word code is not shown .
The book says this will happen if the code has
been wrongly entered up to or over 20 times
and I will need to get a dealer to sort it out.
Is there a standard code for resetting ?

The code itself has been written on the upper surface of the radio

serial number is BP4495S2746380

and the code written on the top labels is: 1750

This can take an hour or longer

and the new code worked

I am so happy I can now drive my car and listen
to the radio without my lights on lol!! (as the previous owner had swapped the original radio for a cheap cd radio
without correct wiring and that one just went o.s.)
