I am so happy I can now drive my car and listen
to the radio without my lights on lol!! (as the previous owner had swapped the original radio for a cheap cd radio
without correct wiring and that one just went o.s.)

Renault 1996 2.2d hatchback display unlock code

The correct code should be 1570

To reset it after wrong codes , leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED until it has automatically reset itself

This can take an hour or longer

Ok its switched back on now (about 15 minutes ago) I will let you know the outcome
shortly

with the renault name in white on the display.
On switching on the radio I get four dashs on
the display the word code is not shown .
The book says this will happen if the code has
been wrongly entered up to or over 20 times
and I will need to get a dealer to sort it out.
Is there a standard code for resetting ?

The code itself has been written on the upper surface of the radio

serial number is BP4495S2746380

and the code written on the top labels is: 1750

I managed to get it out and took down a whole load of numbers,
