Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

Unlocking 4000 RDS Radio

Have been without my radio in my truck for a year since the battery was changed. Second hand truck so no code alas.
Any help gratefully received. Don't know where the serial number is on the truck- can't find it. I expect it's on the back of the radio but unsure how to get it out.
Frustrated.

Radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for code
It usually begins with M or in the next SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321
Sometimes when you click on the button 6 & 1 together or 6 and 2 will show the number
Otherwise, remove the radio from the dash and after the SERIAL NUMBER label on the housing

OK, so I've managed to get the radio out to check the serial number.
It looks like this-
YS6F-18K876-DA
M341300 or that could be 500! Was difficult to see.

Tried that but it didn't work sadly. Locked me out for 30 mins. Am up to 'code 6' now.
I have a definitive serial number now tho ( was trying to do it in near dark last night)
