Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps

No good!
The display just says “CODE” and doesn’t change.
This is what happened after I put the wrong code in too many times on my old unit.
The head unit is getting power as you can hear the CD unit turn on when you turn the car in, but nothing I press on head unit makes a change.
Any suggestions?

Leave it SWITCHED ON for a couple of hours (without interruption) to see if it resets

Nope.
It’s been on 16 hours, well I think it’s on. The display says “code” but nothing on the head unit indicates it’s on and pushing buttons has no effect.
Any other suggestions?

Hi. Leave the radio SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset This can take as long as an hour or even longer
