Hi,
I can't believe i found this thread. I have the same problem as most people here. Purchased a second hand kangoo, battery went down and no wthat I have replaced it ... no radio. I drive quite a lot for work so this is more like a necessity for me.
The Nos of my radio are: RN279F20191371 and Serial: 7700433948TR744

Thanks, but it didn't work. Selected this code, it didn't start the radio, with further button presses making only bips.

Sorry man, tried it again and it works now. Didn't know that 6 should be hold after the code is entered.

You must hold at the end to store your code.
IF YOU DONT HAVE ¬ KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A¬} KEY

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'
Use the steering controls for code entry.
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit
If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code
