    Hello. I have a problem with my radio on a VW Golf 3. It's in a SAFE position after disconnecting battery. I have no code or any service manuals. Please help if you can

    The correct Serial Number usually begins with VWxxxxxxxxxxxx....but if it`s in a 2001 vehicle then the code will only be available from a VW Dealer database or a Radio Decoding Service.

    It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet

    I apologize if this is not the right thread to make this request but I have a 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle that I got not long ago, last week when we were trying to fix the sunroof and disconnected the battery we got the SAFE words on the radio, we didn't know about it or what it meant and after searching online we found some information. Unfortunately the card with the code is ripped of from the little book and we have no code and radio is blocked. Can anyone help me out in here?
