Hello all,
Renault Meganne 1996.
After replacing the battery, I tried to enter the code written on my audio manual. Unfortunately this seemed to be a wrong code as it only only displays "error". I dont want to try more than twice as I believe the radio could "lock out"
serial number:
FD 0197344013135
PHILIPS MODEL NUMBER 22DC449/62L
Could you please help me to find the correct code?
I am so not into my own singing!!!!!!!
Yours desperately, Paul.

The best option (if possible) is a local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will do it while you wait using a laptop and will normally cost from £10 >£20 (not bad for 10 minutes work !)Originally posted by Jamzlane View PostReg,
Any idea which sites are any good; I can't sort the good from the bad & the dealership wants £25?
Thanks in advance
James
I wouldn`t attempt to get the code by quoting the Serial Number to the Main Dealer (unless you can blag it for free) just in case it has been recoded...in which case you won`t get your money back !
It might even be more economical to buy a replacement radio with a code

Unfortunately DELCO codes will not be available for free (using the serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original manufacturer`s database .Originally posted by Jamzlane View PostHi,
I'm new to this site; I got a vauxhall for the missus about this time last year, the battery went flat and then we lost the radio. She (& the kids) have been without tunes or radio for a couple of months now. I've tried your trick with the darts (thanks btw) and now have a slightly scraped Phillips 500 CDR out of the car.
Details are as follows:
GM0500W9416998
GM Delco no. 90 566 821
Type CRD500 (D)
2F4
Any help would be great!!
