My Nissan Vannette Cargo battery failed, so I have had to reset everything.
no success with radio though.
Using the code on the tag has not worked.
The Radio is

Furthermore, please tell me how to input it. I seem to have tried several times with all sorts of instructions. I have been able to reset several times by holding 'AS' while switching it on. When I do it now it just shows '6 safe' and will not give ---- anymore. I just bought the keys to remove the radio and locate the s/n and model.

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

I am extremely non-techie. have 2004 Nissan Micra - the radio needs a code and I cannot even find a make - it only says Nissan R.D.S. compact on the face of the radio. in the code screen it shows 0000 - i tried a few obvious codes 1111 etc but then it just locks on me. Can anyone help with a code with that limited detail and if more detail is required please let me know how I would find serial or whatever.

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated
