Help me please. I disconnected battery from my Renault Megane during repairs and now my radio asks for code which I can't find anywhere in my papers. It's Phillips 22DC594/62F Prod No. FD0196503033761 and the serial no. RN584FT3033761.

Could anyone help with a code please?

I've a LR Freelander which appears to have had its head unit swapped at some point since the code on the original Security card looks like it refers to a Visteon unit and will not work with the unit fitted.

The unit fitted is the Land Rover R770 unit made by Philips. Details are:
Type No.: 22DC594 / 61L
RG Part No.: AMR 5719
Prod No.: FD 0600424139221
SN. (on case): RG594 FY4139221

Any help would be really appreciated. Very many thanks in advance.

Please check your Serial Number again to make sure it is correct.

If it is correct , then unfortunately your code will not be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as this Serial Number is not in any available PHILIPS database.

It requires access to the original manufacturer`s database which is only available from your Main Dealer .(and a few of the larger Professional Radio Decode Specialists)

Otherwise try a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will electronically "read "/ recode the memory chip (EEPROM) using a laptop and specialist software.

hi, stan again here forgot to put radio is out of a 1999 vauxhall astra there is no code stamped on the case the only other number is - 2F3

Please quote ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY BARCODES , LABELS or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.

There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or RN or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find
