need help

i need help with this philips car 400 i have code but i can't activate this pice of sh** ... i find that i need tu push AS and switch ON radio but still is showing on SAFE and there are no ---- to put code dont know what to do pls help...

on back is:
1 614 438 philips
GM 90 506 173 > PA6 - GF15 <


I did this:

1. turn radio on
2. turn it off
3. press and hold few seconds AS button
4. turn radio on and then hold AS button for about 3 seconds (you'll hear beep)
5 You'll see X ---- (x is number of possible tries you yet have to enter the code and ---- are places to enter the code digits)
6. enter the code (press 1 for selecting first digit, it'll turn to 0 press again and it'll be 1 and so on, when you press "2" button you'll set the second digit and so on...) when you set all 4 digits press and hold AS button.
7. radio should now be unlocked.

when i'm finish this:
4. turn radio on and then hold AS button for about 3 seconds (you'll hear beep) -_- but when i do this there are no beep and no X ----

Note that code entry is only possible with the ignition switched on, and in the order shown below.
If the display shows a number less than 10, and the word SAFE, then the unit may be codelocked.
If this is the case, leave it switched on for up to two hours and a further attempt at code entry should be possible.

Code Entry as Follows:

Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "

Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit

If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps
