I have just joined this site as i have just bought a renault megane 2002 classic, the battery was disconnected and i now need a code for the stereo, i have copied down all the numbers on the side of the unit, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you press the final button that stores the code ( ¬ or 6 or 5 ) for at least 10 seconds

Also quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes
