Also quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes

tried that, i have used a test lamp across the fuses and the radio fuse has power to it and there it one live to the back of the radio even with the ignition in the on position. Should'nt it have a permanent and ignition live feed?

Did it work OK before you started messing about with the radio?

If the radio , dash , clocks etc do not work then it really must be a common point somewhere such as the fuse or a connector etc.Make sure the fuse is a tight fit or not partially blown as a test lamp does not really draw too much current so a loose fuse etc. might go disconnected as soon as a larger current is drawn.
Try swopping the fuse.

There should be 2 battery feeds to the radio ; permanent and via Ignition switch
