hi there, I haven't yet been able to try out this code. The display in the car is showing SAFE but without any number preceding it. I have now waited over 2 hours and forty minutes and the display has not changed. My friend tells me she fiddled with the stereo once or twice when the problem first occurred but assures me she has not played this waiting game at all, so I don't understand how the car would now think there are 3 or less tries left.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I'm at the point of ripping it out and wiring in another stereo, so any explanations/easier solutions would be much appreciated, thanks.

Press AS and ON button and leave SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself (Can be over 10 hours !)

Then enter code and press AS again.

The important word is UNDISTURBED because if interrupted the waiting starts all over again
