Changed the battery on a second hand clio and now the fitted radio/cassette needs a code. Is the VIN sufficient? VF1BBOPOF23804688.

If it needs the radio serial number then I'll have to visit my mum and take the radio (she's a pensioner and doesn't know how to do things like that!)

The radio will have to be removed from the car dashboard .
Then please quote the MAKE + MODEL of your radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS on any LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.


There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or RN or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Renault Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find

If I need a code for my radio for a vauxhall corsa do I need the model number and serial number. anything else? I had my battery changed and didn't realise it would put my radio into safe mode. can't find any code in my booklet.
