Thank you for the quick response. I just checked the radio again and it is definitely V538. The code you provided is the same as the one on the piece of paper. I have carefully entered it on 4 occasions and each time it ends with a loud beep and says ERROR... Do you have any idea what my problem is. Again many many thanks for your help.

Removed the original radio/cd player from my Renault Vel Satis ( 1st version ) and changed it for a radio/mp3 player ... but didn't like how it looked so put the original radio/cd back in, but now is asking me for the code... and can't find it anywhere.

This is what's printed on the sticker that's on the radio:

720 B73 2550795 2

Radio : 9894

CD : BJ0K0629194740

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated
