Code for Blaupunkt 2020 / Holden Barina

Hi I am new to this site so please help me if you can.
I have an old SRI Barina. I still have the radio code however I tried it to many times before I found the original it. I am now locked out, it is telling me to take it to the dealer, I don't want to do this as they want a fortune to do it. Is it possible to overcome this. I have left the battery disconnected for days to no avail.
If anyone has come across this before please let me know what to do.:crazy:

Leave the radio SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset This can take as long as an hour or even longer

First time I tried it, it said 9 SAFE, tried it again and it said 8 SAFE, third time said 7 SAFE...

The serial number is BP0483 3 0996608 - you had a (5) in brackets in your reply but this isnt on the stereo, could this be the problem?

I really appreciate your help, hope to get this going again!
