  • Code for Blaupunkt 2020 / Holden Barina

    Hi everyone,
Last night I had my battery changed on my car not realising that I would need the security code to reactivate my car radio. Would anyone be able to help my with the code for the car? I don't know what the serial number for the radio is but if any help needed I am happy to try. The radio was the one that came with the car and don't know how to undo it to see the serial number

    Details of Car
    Model: Holden Barina Hatchback (2001)
    Car Radio: Blaupunkt 2020

Its a four digit code, just FYI

The radio will have to be extracted from the dashboard and then post ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS found on ANY BARCODES , LABELS or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

A demo on how to extract the radio using a pair of extractors is here

Sorry , this Serial Number is not in my PHILIPS database.

If you email [email protected] then they may be able to help as they have a much larger PHILIPS database. (Mention this Unlock Forum and there should be no charge)

Can I just ask, I tried this link and I have tried two different coathangers and can't seem to get them in. Too wide in diameter. Is there a particular type of coathanger to use? Its also quite hard to know where to bend to get both sides even.

                  Ohh these damn radios.

Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the holes appear to be blocked, then they might be protected by four small screws with Allen Key heads.(or similar tamper proof heads). If so , unscrew using the appropriate sized Allen Key.

Using the coathanger method is fiddly but it does work with a bit of patience.

                    You could also use 4 x nails...or 4 x darts....or 4 x small screwdrivers ...or 4 x small Allen keys.....etc. etc.

Having an assistant to help is also useful.

Okay, will look out for these screws. I think it was just the coathanger ends were a little large but will give it another try. Thanks again

Ok I tried again this afternoon but am not sure if its because I need to use some sort of allen key on it? I took some pictures to see if that would help.

Yes, they look like small hexagonal heads so you will need the appropriate size of Allen key to unscrew them....before using your "coathanger" extractor

Ok so I had to guy purchase an allen key for the size of the hole but that explained why I was having so little success with the wire method.

Unfortunately I have tried screws, coathanger wire and can't seem to yank it out. It just seems to be wedged in and with the coathanger wire it just bends. Is there any particular method like when you insert the wire or pins. In one of the instructions it said about putting coathanger wire a bit upwards towards the stereo. It would latch on and pull out. No luck it just bends the wire.

Do I need some strong nails or something?

Just another pic without the screws in place.
