VW Gamma V Code please

I purchased my 2004 (53 plate) VW Sharan a couple of years ago, and it came without the booklets.
I ebayed a manual but, of course, it didn't include the radio code.

No problem, I went ahead and fitted my amateur radio equipment in place of the CD Player, which involved disconnecting the radio, and it did it's work when reinstalled by finding the car ident on the data bus and restoring the radio to working without me having to enter a code.

Now, I come to sell. I reversed my installation procedure to put the CD player back on but this time, the radio is sitting dumbly showing 'SAFE' then '1000'. Waiting for 'the' code which I don't have. I want to get a decent part ex valuation, so I'd like the radio to be working.

I know that I can take it to the VW dealer (and probably should do), but they need to have the car booked in and it'll be some time before they can get to it (not a priority of theirs!). Any chance that you could help me out, please?

It's a VW Gamma V, with single CD Player attached. The radio serial is
VWZAZ3C0811585
The CD player CX-DV1371LC serial is 8144845, although I don't think that is important?

Sorry....your code will only be available from someone with access to the VW Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet
