thanks very much - i substituted the first number for a '1' as it only gives option for '1' or '0'zero
really brilliant. i just got this car off my father in law. he had it from new and could NEVER get the radio to work. he asked bmw and loads of places who ALL said they couldn't do it. so he had it NO radio for 16 years haha. i was without radio for one journey hahah again lol.
