Hi,

I've just replaced the alternator on my Clio and I need to put the radio
code in, but the guy who sold the car to me didn't give me the code and
there's no way to contact him now. Can someone help me?

Hi, I'm back, I couldn't try the code, it wouldn't let me. I couldn't get it to flash input mode. I tried switching the ignition to position one and switching on the radio, waited, kept waiting, still waiting, nothing. I popped the fuse out, back in, tried again, nothing. I bet you're gonna advise me to disconnect the battery... that is all I can think of. Any ideas? Will let you know as soon as I get it accepting again! Thanks - Dza

Leave the radio SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset

This can take as long as an hour or even longer

So what does Renault want us to do, run our batteries flat, or go on an hour long excursion polluting the environment, as though fuel is cheap?

Anyway, thanks for your advice, it came on after about 25 minuets, so I held my thumb on the bottom button on the special radio control device for a few seconds, I then had to wait another 25 minuets to try again!

The code worked, so thanks Masterkay62! So, only hit the button quickly for each digit entered, then hold it down long once they are all in, and Bob's you're Uncle!
