Sorry I wasn't thinking straight when i first read your message at 6am. I now realise that you probably mean turn the key in the ignition to activate/deactivate IMMObiliser? Should you do this before starting the engine, after or does it not matter which way you do it?

IMMO means that your radio has to be electronically linked to your vehicle.

If it is not the original radio then this is a job for a Radio Decoding Service
