  • Discovery 2 radio code needed.

    Hi,

I have sold my Disco 2 and have refitted the factory radio, but I seem to have lost the card with the code for the radio.

The unit is designated a C42 by Land Rover,

Numbers/info off the label on the unit:

    Type No. 22DC597/60L
    RG Part No. XQD000050PMA
    Digital Comb 3 Band
    WA000316
    Made by VDO in Germany
RG597W31189833 (this number is also stamped into the right hand side panel of the chassis)

    9022 215 97604 00
    003 0316 1189833

There is also a small sticker on the back of the unit as follows:

    597/60L-R
    WA00 EZH PL4

If anyone can give me the unlock code I would be very grateful.

    Thanks,
    Simeon.

I've just found another small label which had fallen off the unit:

    SN00289-04040

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

Thanks anyway, I'll try the dealers tomorrow.
