  • Code for Toyota's Fujitsu ten head unit please?

    Hi guys,

Long story short, my Toyota Echo's radio has broken, it no longer plays CDs. So one day I was at the rubbish management center, I found a head unit there for a couple dollars. Was very happy until I plugged it in my car, it asks me for 3 digit Security code

I don't know the VIN of the vehicle this head unit belongs too, don't know where it was bought either. I don't even know if it works, so I would kill myself if I pay my local Toyota dealer to decode and find out it doesnt work Please please help me. Here are some info on the unit:

    Toyota PZQ60-00041
    Fujitsu Ten 123001-2490B151
    Serial Number PG502200
    Model: FT0014A
    QD ID: B015087
    Made in the Philippines
There's also a check mark with N535 next to it

I hope that's enough info because there are more numbers engraved in the unit casing.

    Wishing you a great day!

Sorry....your code will only be available by taking the radio into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

Thank you so much for the fast response. It is worth a try anyways before I contact the dealer.. Just wondering is it not possible to do something with the hardware to bypass it? Or do a hard reset to clear the memory or something?

I would gladly bring it to the dealer but the thing is I don't know if this unit works or not.. got it for 5 bucks so really, I am more inclined to open it up and experiment than going to dealer

Oh and just some extra info, my car's security light was separate from the old head unit, it sits above the old unit and used to be flashing even though the old unit has its own light with the security key sign. And old unit never asks me for security code when I take the battery off for servicing. Now when I put the non-working one in, it no longer flashes there, but it flashes on the security key sign of the non-working unit.

      All the best!
