I think this CDX-5F611 is a Ford Sony unit , possibly with a V Serial Number.

Check for another Ford sticker on the side and quote all the numbers and letters on this other label...

Ford V Serial codes are not available for free from anywhere in the Internet, as access is required at the Ford factory in the database (through a Dealer Ford)...which is not commercially available as software, try your Ford Dealer, or Radio Decoding Service

Ford M Serial Number codes can be calculated using software

Ford V have to be looked up on the Ford Dealer database and this is not available to buy as software....so is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet

I now have the code from an ebay seller, very happy with the service £3.41 got the code in 30 mins!
My radio now works fine:cornut:
I must say that my local ford dealer is a bit greedy, wanted £25!
The thing that makes me mad is its my car and my radio, it should be a free service if you can prove ownership.
Am i allowed to post a link for the ebay seller on this forum as it will help others looking for a Ford "V" code?

Also prices on Ebay seem to change daily , even from the same sellers.(Just now the cheapest price is £3.87 )

This is because Ford only allow a limited number of codes per dealer per week, so as weekly supplies run out, then prices tend to rise..
