8889 -code for this serial number if it is same, it need to be recoded and you need to go to Decode the Service, which will turn it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

I just spoke with my sister, and she said that 8889 was written somewhere as a code when she bought that car, but didn't work.

Never mind then, too much work, they are cheap (radios) anyway now.
