I have an old car "citroen xsara 1.4i west coast", T reg and the code listed in the manual written down didn't work. I have entered the code 5 times now and the stereo no longer gives me the option to enter a code anymore, it just says 5 Error all the time displayed. Is there anyway around it, or is the stereo locked out for good.

To see if the correct code is available, post all the letters and numbers on any labels or stamped in the radio casing -
The 5th Reset code message has been displayed for well over a month now. The manual did mentioned you only get 5 attempts then the stereo is locked out. Many hours have passed with the stereo switched on over time since that 5th error code got displayed, but it'd stayed that way since as though you don't get offered a 6th attempt.
That's why I asked is there anyway around it, because now I don't even get the option to input a 4 code.Comment
