help with code ford cd 6000cd eon possible car registration?please help

hi just recently purchased a ford cd player 6000cd eon for my wifes ford galaxy i purchased a code off ebay,entered the code for a split second the radio works but then the display flashes 'X56UOT'.Is this cd player locked to a car with this registration if so how do i remove the lock? The serial number is M008635 and was given code 8329 please help thank you,jonny the boy.
