my cd player is displaying 7 safe and wont let me type in the code any ideas how to reset it?

Leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED until it has automatically reset itself

Code Entry as Follows:

Turn Off Stereo

Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)

Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "

Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit

If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps

i have just managed to get the cd player out and the number is gm150010101443

Post the 14 character Serial Number beginning GM************ found stamped in the metal casing

i have tried to get the cd player out with the removal keys but it wont come out dont know if im doing it wrong or what. i have pushed the keys in and tried sliding it out (is that how u use the removal keys)

i have just purchased a 1999 vauxhall astra estate but dont have code for cd player and screen is displaying safe. only things i have found on cd player face that comes out is 4 660 103 delco, gm90493281, >pa6-gf15. can anyone help please
