Many thanks, I tried the code, which appeared on screen okay. Next I pushed the tuner 'back' to confirm and the four dashes reappeared.
Any idea what is wrong? Could someone have changed the factory code? Thanks for any help

9398 is the correct code for the numbers quoted.

If this does not work then your radio may have been recoded to a different number

Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" CodE "
Press Preset " 1 "
The display will now show " 0000 "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press LH Tuning Button " < " To Enter
And the Radio will then turn On
