Can anyone please help, I had to remove battery to get to indicator relay, now the battery is back on the digital display is showing 'safe' and we don't know the unlock code, having now removed the radio to find the stamped serial number GM020421235238 and it is a Philips CAR2004 (E)

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
