Corsa 2004 (cdr 2005 cd/radio) code needed

Please help, I have just bought a corsa 1.2 design '04 reg and the radio was stuck on safe mode, we followed the procedure and it didn't work using the radio code in the car pass ( it's not the security code I need is it?)

now down to safe 5! Which looks like means a 80minute wait

here are the radios details:

car: 1.2 design '05

siemens VDO
gm020543236246 stamped in casing then on stickers;
330886636
no.: 13 138 246
type: CDR2005
UY8
serial no: 43212473

have checked fuse on back which is fine


having typed that I see the chassis/vin number is not that shown on the car pass so that will be why the radio code 4992 doesn't work!

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

Some codes are calculated using software and others have to be looked up on databases.

Your VDO CDR2005 requires a database....and unfortunately there is no commercial database software available for this particular range of VDO radios

This database is only available at the Main Dealers.
