I have exhausted the web and have paid for a code 21213 but will not get accepted so any help would be much appreciated

Sorry........Your only options now are to take it into a Radio Decoding Service .... or buy another radio with a working code.

It will not be available for free from anywhere on the Internet

RW many thanks for the quick response and must admit that it was looking that way looking at other blogs. Seems as thought the chip needs to be read before it can be calculated. Did purchase a couple of codes but they did not work
