Renault megane 07 radio code not working

Recently let the battery die on my 2007 Renault Megane as i am selling. The radio code that came with the car doesn't work! Its the same code as the scenic i have too so must be generic, although Renault say they shouldn't be the same! Any new codes offered greatly appreciated. Details as follows:
