I’ve noticed that some freelancers now prefer to get paid in stablecoins, especially USDT. I’m considering setting up a gateway to accept it for my own projects. What are the main pros and cons you’ve encountered when using tether payments, and are there any reliable systems that make the process simple?

I recently took on a few freelance projects with clients who preferred paying in crypto. To simplify things, I started using a tether payment gateway for USDT payments. Unlike my usual experience with wire transfers, the first few payments were almost instant and fully trackable. I appreciated how the system allowed me to leave funds in USDT or convert them to fiat depending on my cash flow needs. One unexpected benefit was that clients from countries with limited banking options found it much easier to pay, which increased the number of international projects I could accept. Even though I had to learn a bit about network fees and confirmations, the experience was surprisingly smooth. It gave me confidence to offer crypto as a standard payment method for my services.
