In attached picture you can see how to find radio serial number without using a special tool. :-)
Just carefully insert "tool" and try (gently) to get radio out of the dashboard. Label with serial No. is on the right side (red arrow).
Before reinserting the radio, don't forget to remove the tools (push lightly locking points from side of the mechanism to release the tools).
(On the picture is Ford NX DVD radio, but this system of dismantling is used on many radio models by Ford, WV, Audy,...)
