Jailbreaking IPad - is it worth it

Hi guys,

My mobile broke the other day so I'm now having to use my iPad to stay online never really used it much before as prefer android.

I noticed that you can't do a lot of things like make calls, text.. Would Jailbreaking it let me do this?

It's an iPad 4 on ios 9.1 is it even possible?
