motorola w270 connection error.

connect phone off, with battery, to USB... recognize as Locosto to AF but software does not see it.

if connect as Motorola Flash Device, software gives connection error.
what could be wrong?

I did it with codes, so no problems. But I am trying to know the solution for next time.
I do not have the phone anymore... but any suggestion will be noted so I can try with next phone (if ever got another one)

Hard to say without any information from you.
Need log frm software. Also in lastest windows(Vista and Seven) in some conditions not possible to change flash driver file.

using XP sp3
log was very easy to remember:

w270 use USB cable

connect phone to usb
connection error

I hope next time I will get more time with it, just for the fun of it.
I got confuse with the 2 diff way that it was recognized by winXP:

1. Motorola Flashing Device (connection error in software)
2. Locosto to AF Modem device. (software did not detect phone)
