Radio code needed for Peugeot 206 Can anyone HELP PLEASE.....

Can I please check/clarify though the method of entering the code. I have buttons numbered 1-6. Do I just type the number in as you would dial a phone number or do I need to enter the code by pressing the 1 key 5 times for the first digit etc.

I have what I presume to be a Clarion stereo in my peugeot as the serial number is CL040161047176C, the model no: PU-2294A(C) with the barcode serial code C7000000 4324.

From your above response does the + + + + represent the code I need or do I need to add this to some website. If I need to use a webiste, could you please refer or recommend any?

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code that can be calculated (using a serial number ) anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
(Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio.

Thanks for the prompt response... I could only find three more sets of numbers..... 96 396 920 80, 286-8497-35 and printed along the side H1032308A... There is another sticker that says 'class 1 laser product' with the numbers 285-1843-00. Not sure if that helps.

There is a place by me that decodes them for a tenner supposedly, so if all fails I'll go and see them.
