Hi,

I my radio is locked since I had a new battery installed put in the car. I have a sticker with a bar code and the serial number VMFL3E3M004632 on it.

Would this be the radio serial number and if not where would I find that?

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

This is an appeal for urgent help. I have 6 hours of driving to do tomorrow to collect my demented Grandmother and bring her to my family for Christmas. Only today I had to replace the Freelanders battery and now the radio needs a code I don't have. Can anyone help?

Radio Serial number is BP9263X3779349

It has a new gear box and the result is no radio (the box now works mind, which is bonus)! The code is not on the radio nor did the car come with any documentation!
