  • Galaxy S3 i9300 eMMC failed

Hello, has anyone successfully managed to read the eMMC for Galaxy S3 (i9300). I'm using Riff-2 + VR-Table so, no soldering needed.

My setup is working with other phones, but not with this Galaxy S3. My only guess is that there's a lot of glue/coating around the chip, and one pin must be connected in that area.

Could it be other reason like not being able to bypass the controller?

*Phone is working, I'm performing some data recovery tests.

"Bypass the controller" means what ? ISP connects to eMMC controller and "talk" to it to get data
You probably need to "drill" trough resin to get proper connection.

Alright, then I need to remove somehow that resin and try again.

So no matter what phone or core it has (Exynos, Qualcomm, etc), as long as I have the correct ISP pinout I can have access to read the eMMC?

Of course, as CPU is not even powered during ISP.
