  • Caterpillar CAT S30 pinout

It is a rare model but I think I have found some pins, I need help for other pins.

Data lines are obvious for this case, is it safe to assume that the one in the very bottom is DAT0?

I've measured 2.8V and 1.8V on capacitors next to the eMMC. Assuming those are VCC and VCCq respectively, CMD appears to be in the 7KΩ resistor (opposite to Vccq=1.8V).

Now the main question is how to find CLK? Any suggestions?

If You could share dump, (without userdata partiion) that would be great.

Thanks for the pinout. Of course I will try to connect and share what's needed. I'll reply tomorrow.

I have tried the connections (assuming that the pinout was tested) and it turns out that Vcc is wrong, it should be on the other pin of the capacitor.

So device cannot enter Recovery Mode or EDL mode. Is not detected by PC.

Yes Vcc seems to be wrongly marked, indeed.
But - have You managed to establish connection with eMMC ?

Sadly no. I tried adding pull-up resistors, 2-3 different values and still no connection established. Then I tried again with the proper pinout (changing Vcc pin on capacitor) and still nothing.

I guess is totally bricked because of the short circuit, or are there still chances to establish connection to eMMC?

Not sure, You'll need to find where the short circuit is, and remove that component first.
Or, desolder emmc and connect it directly.
