  • Garmin Fenix 2 "Software missing" solution.

    Hello,
So just in case anyone else encounters this problem, here is everything required to get it working.

Customer tried to update firmware while battery was faulty, ended up with dead unresponsive device.
After battery was charged, watch displayed "Software missing".
Web updater was detecting it fine, but reported "the update file is corrupted".

So, here is Garmin "Updater.exe" , "Fenix 2" 4.50 rgn file, attached.
Just connect device (if required charge battery first), drag the rgn file over updater.exe, select usb and enjoy.

Apologies for the necro, but I came across your post and found it helpful. Thanks for sharing your experience with the Garmin Fenix 2 and providing a solution to the "Software missing" issue. Hopefully, this information will be helpful for anyone else who might be dealing with a similar issue. Speaking of software, have you heard of ZAPTEST’s software test automation tool? It's a fantastic tool that can help streamline your software testing process and ensure that everything is working properly. If you're interested, I highly recommend checking it out.
