Importante - Modificaciones a Rocker Box !

Hola,

Gracias a RoxsAndy, descubrio que la parte de diseño de FTDI en la box tenia algunas pequeñas fallas, que por lo tanto impedian a la box trabajar normalmente.

Los problemas causados por este error de diseño fueron :

- Velocidad inestable
- Imposible leer flashes de los telefonos
- Fallos en la comunicacion

Para arreglar estos problemas, porfavor hagan lo siguiente:

(ATENCION: Se necesitan habilidades en el area de electronica)

- Intercambiar de lugar las resistencias R8 and R9
- Hacer cortocircuito de R9 a C10
- Soldar un capacitor de 22pF entre R7 y el pin 8 del integrado U3
- Soldar un capacitor de 22pF entre R1 y R2

Por favor descarguen la foto de la placa con las instrucciones detalladas (en ingles).

Thanks to RoxsAndy, its discovered that FTDI part design in box has few flaws, thus preventing box to work properly.

Problems caused by this design error were :

- Unstable speed
- Impossible to read flash from phones
- Communication glitches

To fix those problems, please do the following:

- Swap resistors R8 and R9
- Short circuit R9 to C10
- Solder capacitor 22pF between R7 and pin 8 of U3 IC
- Solder 22pF capacitor between R1 and R2

Please download attached photo of PCB with detailed instructions.


* UPDATE / ACTUALIZACION *

If You have diferent PCB, then You probably not have described problems.

Only if You have problems to read flash from ODM models, You should make these changes.

Boxes produced by NarryTelecom have this error.

Solo si tiene problemas al leer flashes de los modelos ODM, deberia hacer estos cambios.

Hola, creo que el post es muy especifico al respecto....
Todo depende si queres que tu box funcione correctamente o no. :D

agradesco por el nuevo aporte, ahora una pregunta: como hay algunos que no podemos modificarlo no se si las nuevas cajas ya vienen con esto modificado o se tienen que modificar

Es como dice el post, si tenes problemas con ODM leyendo las flashes, experimentas problemas de inestabilidad en la velocidad, es recomendable que SI que lo hagas, y esta modificiacion esta acotada a la version de placa que se muestra en la foto, es decir que si tenes esa misma placa seria muy bueno que hicieras las modificaciones, si no es la misma placa NO.
Si necesitan una mano con la parte de electronica manden mensaje privado.

It is in post, if you experience problems with speed, you should do this modification, and this modification it is enclosed to the pcb version that it is showed in photo, so if you don't have same pcb DON'T do it.

Simplemente lo pueden sacar de cualquier dispositivo electronico que no tengan en uso, que este roto, hasta un reloj digital trae componentes de montaje superficial para realizar esta tarea. Claro que debe ir acompañado de un conocimiento de electronica y habilidades basicas como para no estropear la placa, si no es asi ni desarmen la box, consiganse un electronico que les haga el trabajo.

It is just get all the components you can from electronic devices that you have there, broken devices, even a digital watch has smd components inside to do this mod. Ofcourse this must be done if you have some basic knowledge and skills in electronics, or get somebody else to do te job if you never do some electronic work before, so you won't mess up your box.

hola amigo trate de tamar foto a mi cajita pero salieron horribles asi que te escribo sobre mi duda. he probado leer el flash de un v177 y no lo lee, lo probe con los 3 cables posible- serial, cable de la caja, y cable usb.
Entonces desarme mi caja y lo que encontre y veo que necesito hacer esos ajustes, mi duda es sobre la equivalencia de las resistencias que no son iguales, por ejemplo_

R8 1002
R9 222 es igual

R7 152 es igual

R1 06E igual
R2 06E igual

ahh y tambien el c4 y c8 no los tengo juntos como muestra su exquema estan separados

el r8 no concuerda,, quisiera saber si no es inconveniente para hacer estos ajustes..

La placa (PCB) debe ser LA MISMA, si no es la misma no hagas estas reformas.

The board, pcb MUST BE THE SAME, otherwise DON'T do this mod.

que tal mira yo tengo la rocker con la placa diferente pero a mi no me reconoce los C139,C115,C168 y la gran mayoria de los que tienen ese tipo de entrada, que sera lo que pasa en este caso.??

Puede que este relacionado con que sean tracfone estos modelos que dices, checkea el foro, busca info sobre trackfone ya se ha hablado del tema, saludos.-
