Hi there,

First make sure you call your current phone network and just ask them for the code. Occasionally people are pleasantly surprised and the company just hands it over.

If this doesn't work, then many people still manage to unlock their RAZR for free. It can take a bit of time, and you need to be reasonably competent with a computer. The best place to take you through this is www.motox.info (http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=4568).

Be careful my dear friend. I recover some V3 of people who tried to unlock by theirselves. I know it should work but the communication in Motorola phones it's poor and the connector doesn't fit really well(V3 yes). So take a lot of care.

I have just bought a second hand Motorola V235 and is locked to Orange in the UK. When I switch the phone on it requests a subsidy code. Can anyone advise me how I can unlock the phone to use a sim from another operator.
